yes, guages are a great start point and as for the 100k on the truck you should be fine I would go with a tuner instead of a chip you get more options with them than just putting a chip that for the most part just dumps more fuel into the motor some will raise line pressure in the trans. I have also noticed with these generic one chip fits all deals that the injection timing on them can be off and you get a crackling effect from the engine working against itself I like my custom program done at a diesel performance shop no more crackling by the way I have went through every chip and tuner on the market.

well I still own a diablo chip, banks chip, and a tuner they all work ok but if a guy wants to get into the higher power and torque settings a custom programmer still works best looking for a little boost like 65hp or so chips are great go a little higher and a tuner is nice but when you get into 130 plus and some other mods a custom program makes me feel more comfortable.

I sold those chips. Return rate on 100+ was way too high and they didn't like it when I said it wasn't God's gift to chips. We even had people call with problems after we dropped the line. 'Nuff said.
