2010 Explorer Limited Keyless Remote
I've just bought a 2010 Explorer Limited that came with a remote keyfob that doesn't work. I've replaced it's battery, checked its board for any visible corrosion, and went through the 8 cycle pairing routine. The system doesn't acknowledge entering programming mode by the locks cycling, nor does the keyfob have any effect. Anyone else have this problem? Any ideas?

According to the owners manual, the remote programming function is indicated by the door locks locking and unlocking after entering the combination. All I get is two chimes, like the "door ajar" chimes. I have noticed the PATS indicator flashing LED has begun operating when the vehicle is parked/locked.
