Paint \ filler compatability question
I went to Oreilly,s picked up Omni170 epoxy primer and Omni mp282 high build 2K primer surfacer. And Evercoat Z grip filler, I have the cab down to bare metal . My plan is to Epoxy Prime then body filler. Then 2K. The tbs and info from evercoat don't say you can put over epoxy. Any body know if they are compatable? Also after filler then 2K should I put on another epoxy coat? Thanks Dean

You may get different opinions here. The guy that sells me my body supplies says to do it this way. Bare metal first, then metal etch it to make sure it is clean and has some surface conditioning. Then epoxy prime, then body filler. when sanding and shaping the filler you will sand off some epoxy. Not to worry. Once the bondo is done, then epoxy prime again. Then coat with with putty. you could use high build primer as well. Then use the 2K primer. Then paint. Make sure each coat of primer looks even, otherwise add another layer of primer.
