So, far she is running really. I am not going to drive it much till I change the tires and brakes. I am about to change from 31x10.5 to 235/75. I did the back brakes the past weekend. So, by the end of this week I will be driving it regularly. I'll keep everyone posted.
UPDATE: I have been running the truck a few times a week, maybe 50 miles on it right now. I go to check the oil (I just changed it the day before) and its black and it does smell like gas. I have gas in my oil, and I know its not the mechanical fuel pump, because I don't have one.
Any suggestions where to start and what would case this?
Also, every-time I run it, I have been pulling the first plug to inspect. So far they look clean. I am thinking I might need to adjust the fuel/air mixture and it is a new carb and I have adjusted anything on it yet?
Has the oil level gone up with this gas smell?
what temp Tstat you running in the motor?
When you are running the motor / driving the truck how long / far is it?
You have a working PCV system on this motor?
