Hello everybody new to the forum but not to mechanics. I have a 1991 Aerostar 4l, and I also have a 1996 ford f150 v8 4.6 single cab that I want to use as donor. Can it be possible? I mean can it all fit nicely tucked in? I tried to search it up myself but I find nothing.
but I think they said that a mod motor will probably not fit; the Aero's engine compartment area is too small.
Thank you! yes the engine and transmission. Since the body of my f150 is beat to hell I had this crazy idea of transplanting its heart and soul to my first vehicle ever which is my aerostar.
The venerable small block Ford is probably the most compact American made v8, and it has been installed into an Aerostar without major cutting. Looks like it's been done before:
