Hi
I have imported a F100 1957 that has had loads of mods done which are a bit rough to say the least. I am going to make it nice. The truck is lovely. I am currently rewiring it to make it legal for UK roads.
It has a later engine which i believe is a 302. Also a later front end under the cab with power steering etc. It has MT on the rocker covers. What does this mean. Google tells me Manual Transmission. So was the block from a manual GT? It has an auto fitted to it now. Starts in any position as well. (naughty) No park brake either. The rear axle isn't original either (welding and cutting marks) so a bit of a challenge here in UK. But love it.
Any comments welcome. Good or bad. I want to make it nice.
Cheers
Piezer
Yes, Mickey Thompson. One of the many aftermarket performance and bling parts suppliers. Back in the day after cruising you stopped at Norm's or other hangout, opened your hood to check oil. Really to show off the chrome accessories. Sometimes added ridges in valve covers to supposedly run cooler but mostly for bling factor I think. They made popular magnesium wheels too.
