Excessive black smoke

Today whenever i was driving my truck, i floored it to get in front of a truck, and upon letting off the pedal a HUGE cloud of black smoke just POURED out, and it repeated to do it whenever i would gun it and let off the pedal. Its pretty funny to watch people swerve to avoid it, but should i be concerned? i have never noticed it to do that before...

I have allways had what you have with smoke at gunning it , 200000 an still running smoth with my 2000 F-250

I have the same thing when I am in the 78 hp. mode on the Diablo chip. I switch back to the stock or 54 hp mode and very little smoke.
Just dumping more fuel then you can burn.

oh i forgot to mention that i took out the programmer the other day before taking it to the dealership, so its still unprogrammed. but i would just floor it, let off, and the black smoke would just pour out after i had already let off the pedal
