Anyone had distributor problems that caused the engine to break up, misfire, etc? The only electromic ign distributors I've worked on were GM and that problem was they either worked or were dead - no spark and no run..... The engine is a 4.9 EFI.
If that's not it, how do I locate all the ground circuits on the truck and their ground points? I've found some corrosion problems on a couple ground plugs but I'm sure I haven't found all of them, and maybe not the ones creating a problem with run mode.
Thanks!
Have you considered the TFI module may be causing some problems too ? The pickup assembly inside the distributor can also cause problems like you have described . There is a ground on the radiator support , it feeds off the Negative Battery cable , they can corrode also , Seems to me thats also a ground for the Ecu as well . Make sure its clean & secure .
