Yeah, this backup camera sucks. Good for extra view (don’t back over the kids’ bikes) - but would be weak for ID’ing a bad guy. This head unit has a ‘dash cam’ option that records a loop on an SD card. I haven’t looked to see what camera options are for that.

I only bought this unit unit because it was an open-box deal and was well under $200. I was shopping for a customer and we had limited time for delivery and install and they didn’t want to take a chance stuff would be missing. I’m not sure the box was actually open - it was likely just returned and the jungle sold it as ‘used’.
