Is this right

I have finished wiring my truck with a ez wire 21 circuit harness. But when I pull the light switch out half way the parking lights come on. But when I pull the switch all the way out the lights come on but the parking lights go off. Ez wire said 1955 ford f100 this was normal. Is this correct?

Yes, that is normal. Later light switches kept the parking lights on in both positions but the original one before about 1960 something did not.
