My 2000 F250 V10 started idling rough. Like it was loping with a cam. Also heard a slight hissing type sound when the truck would shut off. I started looking for vacuum leaks.
I found a hose directly under the throttle body that wasn't connected. I was able to rig the hose to stay for now but doesn't seem to the be the correct hose setup.
The hose comes from that port and runs to the top of one of the cylinder heads. I'm assuming this is some how related to the PCV system. But I can't identify specifically in manuals or what images I could find.
I ask because the hose itself seems to be collapsing on itself. The hose is a heater hose. It has an adapter and goes to crankcase type hose to the cylinder head. Any help in identifying the right set up would be helpful.
