'95 5.8 oil pressure sending unit location?

I have a '95 F150 with a 5.8, and I can't find the oil pressure switch! I've looked all over the internet, and mine doesn't seem to be where it should be. I have an oil cooler, so it has the short oil filter. Where would the sending unit be? There's no wire in the vicinity of where the switch should be. Of course, can't see a thing down in there. Thanks!

OK- I found it. That sucker is really buried in there. I thought working on my Miata was bad! I can't get a socket on it; I guess I'll buy the special socket, and hope it's got a thin enough wall. I'm going to make an extension and add a Tee so I can connect a real oil pressure gauge.

I've done the same thing to my 89 F350. Couple inches of pipe and a 45° elbow from the hardware store works just fine. Then buy a sensor for an 85 351w, thread that in, and jump the resistor on the back of your gauge cluster so the needle actually moves with oil pressure. You won't have numbers but you can actually see when there is a difference.

I did a little plumbing, and added a mechanical gauge. Oil pressure is about 30 PSI at a hot idle. It's good to know I have decent oil pressure, and that all of my concern was based upon a stupid 'idiot gauge'. I ended up having to remove the oil cooler behind the filter, and I left it off. I replaced the lower radiator hose with one for a 302, which doesn't have the added oil cooler. Since this truck is an around town beater, I'm not too worried about it.
