I would start testing fuel pressures at this point. Would you happen to be familiar with the screens in the sending unit, the pre screen in the fuel pump, the fuel pressure regulator, fuel bowl filter and the ICP?
I had an issue with EVERY one of these at some point
- screens in sending units?, prescreen in fuel pump? did already put new fuel filter in, upgraded blue spring on fuel pressure spring, icp checked out and know its not leaking at plug but 7.3's are new to me so learning as I go!
- screens in sending units? yes, the . Cylindrical screens inside the fuel tank
prescreen in fuel pump? did already put new fuel filter in, okay, that eliminated that possibility
upgraded blue spring on fuel pressure spring, Another possibility checked off
icp checked out and know its not leaking at plug but 7.3's are new to me so learning as I go! Okay, no oil, good deal. Oil in the plug gives the pcm fits. Sounds like you're already very familiar! Get a pressure reading off the fuel bowl
I did get fuel pressure off bowl that was good, and truck has 2 tanks factory and 88gallon in bed connected to bed tank and all good there confirmed that already.
just rebuilt turbo and installed new KC billet wheel, forgot what fuel pressure was at bowl thinking 60psi? I will try to set up gauge I can read in cad to compare this weekend
Yes. That is why his boost level actually reads higher on the OBD2 data stream when he's in a stock tune than it does with the modified Banks calibration. Like I said, there's nothing wrong with the way it's tuned as long as you know that the numbers you're getting from the data stream are skewed.
