2002 Excursion Accessory delay relay replacement?

2002 Excursion Accessory delay relay replacement?
Hey FTE, I've been putting off my accessory delay relay replacement for a while because I could just bang on the cluster lens and it would pull in and stuff would start working. Over time it's getting harder and harder to get it to pull in and its dropping out while driving frequently so it's time to replace it. I have some other jobs I can knock out while the dash panel is off. But even though I've researched this and previously found the part number and threads about how to replace it NOW I cant find it! From what I remember the 2002 and up trucks have the relay soldered to the board inside the cluster where the old trucks use the standard ISO package relay in the GEM module. Can anyone help me with the part number for the relay and/or some photos of DIY?

I lived with mine for years, trying to find a way to DIY it or at least a little info on it other than 'it's part of the cluster', and couldn't find anything...so I sent it to the Circuit Board Medics (https://circuitboardmedics.com/2002-...luster-repair/)...best money I've spent.

Yeah I've only heard good things about the medics. For cost of rather just do it myself. I actually remembered I have access too All Data so I found the schematics for my truck and can probe around to determine if it's the battery saver relay in the cluster or the accessory delay relay in the CJB. I'm an electrical engineer in the off highway equipment world so soldering a new relay in the board shouldn't be too bad (if I have to). The annoying part will be having to take the cluster out and apart to find a part number first then put it back together until the new relay arrives. Hoping it's the acc relay since that's a hot swap.

That's what got me to pay the $200 to circuit board medics, downtime.

Just wanted to chime in and say thanks for the support. I'm glad we've been able to serve you guys well and get your vehicles functioning properly again. Oharal, just let us know if you decide that you could use some help. We would love to rebuild yours as well. Just so you know, we do a "full rebuild" of the cluster; repairing it for a lot more failure modes than just the relays, so it might be worth it in the long haul.
