Hello all, I have a 1996 F250 Super-cab Short-bed. My bed could use more work than I have time for right now, so I am considering just swapping beds. I found a flareside bed local to me for $150, but I have an issue. My truck has dual fuel tanks, and the bed only has one filler door. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to either add a filler door to the fiberglass fenders, or where to relocated the filler neck to so that I can use this bed.
I am going to pick the bed up tomorrow. I know I can make it work, just wanted to see if anyone has done something similar before and might could lead me in the right direction.

get bedside from a dual tank truck. AIso, make sure you get the filler necks too
Just a FYI. I did this to my truck. I am putting the original bed back on, you loose a ton of space with a flareside
Thabks for all the info. Turns out, the buddy that spotted it fir me looked wrong. It is a dual tank bed.
New problem, I know the flareside fuel filler necks are different than styleside. Will the flareside fillers work with a diesel truck, or do I need to modify diesel filler necks?
Also, anyone know where to find replacement filler necks if the flareside ones work? The donor truck had already been robbed of its rear tank and filler neck.

yes, You NEED to use the flarside filler necks. You will want to knock out the restrictor plate that limits the larger filler neck. I don't know why they were still putting the "lead" filler neck restricter in 92 but they still were

I can get the front one from the truck the bed came off of, looking now at possibly custom building one for the rear, since I can't find fuel filler necks from flaresides anywhere. On that note, if anyone has some they'd be willing to sell, let me know and I'll be glad to talk purchasing it from you.
