How about OP posts a picture of his bumper so we have a better idea what he's asking? lol
You need to pull the grill forward maybe 3" to get a long screwdriver behind it to release the bottom clips (4 total).
You notice, they never mention that in the HR Video - he mentions the camera and washer connections, then just leans the grille forward and pulls it up, and it clicks out - voila'! SURE!
(I do remember the clips from my 2015 F-350 however)

Good catch! My truck doesn't have a front camera (wish I did) so it went over my head.
I've taken my grill off a dozen times with nothing broken. Takes minutes. Yes, you should be able to pull it off without removing the grill guard as long as you have a few inches to tip if forward to fit your hand/slotted screwdriver in to release the lower clips.
For reference when you pop the grill off, the clips on either end can be stiff. When they let go it can be sudden. Each time I’ve popped my grill off I end up launching some of the clip nuts that hold the top of the grill in. Lost 2 actually... they’re size m6x1.0 if you lose any and need to replace haha. I bought a 25 pack off of eBay for $10, figure I’ll end up losing some and they’re just good to have on hand.
EDIT: these are the buggers I usually end up launching.
long flat head to release the bottom clips, other than that its easy, firm pull to release those orange clips (especially to the side of the headlight C's). i've lost a few in the 4 times i've removed mine but no broken clips.
Did mine today to install my HR V.4 LED headlight bulb replacement lamps - same as everyone else has said, two or three orange clips fell off - one of the holders for said orange clips, broke, plenty of room to get at bottom clips with long screwdriver (had done this previously with my 2015 F-350) - all in all, a pretty easy project (The Grille )

It's no doubt that it's a PITA to do but you just have to have some patience (and courage) - I had removed the grille from my 2015 F-350 so many times, trying to get it customized so I liked it, I actually lost count! The new F-450 is a bit different... i just started at one side, reached in with both hands and tugged. It made a kind of snap/pop sound and popped out about 2", so I moved to the center and did the same - the same thing happened, I moved to the right and again, got the same result, it then just gently pulled loose. That's when I heard the "plink, plink, plink" of the couple of orange clips falling off. I just reached down with a needle-nose and grabbed them before I lost them.
