Black Plastic Trim Cleaning
I did a search and really didn't find my answer. The black trim pieces on my 2016 are starting to turn gray. I want to restore them to nice shiny black. What products do you guy use to accomplish this? My truck is really thankful for this quarantine. It has never been so clean. LOL.

A few years ago I did a bit of R&D for my own truck when the pieces were starting to fade...… if you dig deeply into each company's msds for their protective dressings, they are all mineral oil based (typically 60-78% IIRR)… I found that if I used #0000 steel wool and applied the mineral spirits with that that not only clean the plastic but gave it a very nice/restored shine that lasted for 6-12 months. Ultimately, I found that a permanent solution was to buy Rustoleum auto trim restore paint.

I pulled my hood cowl, door handles, tailgate handle, bed rails and rear bumper pads off a few years ago. Used simple green and a green scotch brite pad to clean them. Then used dupicolor back to black spray paint, ITS HELD UP BEAUTIFULLY
