91 f150 reverse only
This guy was scrapping this 91 f150 55,000 miles one owner. Because it would only go into reverse. So I bought it four scrap price and drove it home. Backwards. I have an aod but would rather not go through the trouble of making it work. If one of yall can give me some clue as to another rout. I can't find an E4od.

You can get one on Ebay but you are taking your chances if a problem occurs even with their warranty. Isn't there a good size city near you? The E40d's are a dime a dozen in Houston. You will also need another PCM for it. Sandy

You could make the truck driveable pretty quickly with the AOD, install a TV cable and rig up the E4ODs MLPS sensor in the drive or neutral position and plug it into the harness.. biggest stumbling block could be if the driveshaft works or not. Later swap in a PCM for an AOD or C6 truck with the same engine to get rid of the check engine light that is being caused by all the missing E4OD sensors.

If he swaps the E4OD transmission for an AOD, he'll need to also swap the flexplate, correct?
I'm assuming he has a 351, as most either had a C6 or E4OD.
I'd hate for him to swap trans and then discover on startup that the transmission is destroyed because he didnt swap flexplates.
