Rebuild kits

I'm taking my parts to be machined today. Do any of the bigger companies offer complete rebuild kits for the 4.9/300 like you can find on ebay? I am doing a mild build on a '93 motor to replace my 240.
Thanks. John.

Do you already have the pistons? You'll need them to bore it.

I haven't purchased any parts yet. I'm waiting to see how things come back from the machine shop first.

Rock auto has some listed -

Northern Autoparts would probably put a kit together for you - They do great work.

I've found quite a few, as I'm just beginning my rebuild. If you want me to provide you a list, I'll be happy. The only problem I saw with these kits were that most of them you have to take what they give you. And most won't tell you exactly what that is....if it makes sense.

The very best one was from Rock Auto. It was about $572, but they do not have it anymore. They still do have rebuild kits, they do show you exactly what you are getting, and you can upgrade almost any part. I have had no issues with Rock Auto.

Northern Autoparts is by far my favorite place to buy engine rebuild kits, i'm not sure what you need included in your kit but , if you call northern they will take the time to build you a kit specific to what you need. They are a bit under rated but I have used them dozens of times for ford engines.
