Wire and Cable Management

Looking for a reputable source for wire clips, clamps etc to use for managing the electrical wiring in my 77 F150. Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks!

Where are you talking? Engine compartment, inside under the dash or under the truck?

Primarily the engine compartment and underneath the vehicle along the frame rails and crossmembers.

I use these guys, they are geared for wire loom maintenance, really good price, decent shipping.

I love the expandable braided loom to run wire bundles. I prefer the closed loom you need to feed the wire through vs the type you wrap around the wire, but they both work really well to stop any wire abrasion. Plus they look like they belong there and can really help to hide the wiring. I just put a stereo system in my DD and if you didn't know what you were looking for, you couldn't tell I have any non factory wiring in the car.
Oh yeah, and zip ties. Lots of zip ties in various sizes.

I agree on both counts speedfreak. I’ve used the braided loom and the split braided loom extensively to make things look more OEM.

What at do you do on the ends of the braided loom to keep it from fraying over time? I’ve been putting a small section of heat shrink (1/2 over the loom, 1/2 the length over the wires) on the ends. It looks ok but just curious if there’s a better way.

Thanks for the tips.

I usually just use 3M electrical tape the same way, half and half, mainly cause it matches the factory harnesses . As long as you don't tension it on the last few wraps or leave greasy fingerprints on the underlying layer, it usually won't unravel...... usually. The shrink wrap is probably better overall cause there's no chance of it coming off.

velcro small wrap on ends can work , but heat shrink may be the best

At the ends I too use the heat shrink unless its a larger bundle, then I use harness tape as it is black and sticks to itself very well. Looks clean IMO. I use mostly the split loom sleeve, that way if I need to add a wire later on, its a lot less work.
