Keyless keypad

Hi all,

I just purchased a 2002 Explorer XLT (woo whoo), but I got if from a toyota dealer and there is no keypad code for it. I have searched the Internet and this forum for clues on where to find the keypad code for the 2002 model year, but no luck. Does anybody know where to find the code? Any help is much appreciated.

The manual for my '03 Sport Trac says...

"...this code is located on the owner's wallet card in the glove box, is marked on the computer module and is available from your authorized dealer."

Hope that helps.

Check rear access panel(where your jack is located). On my 98, there is the white box (computer) and a sticker on it with the 5 digit code. It's sort of hard to read at an angle. Hopefully this helps. This will be the factory preset code.

Ford changed the location for the 3rd gen Explorers so the RKE module isn't located at the rear quarter panel.

2002 Explorer - remove plastic trim, "C" pillar, passenger side, behind rear door, then pull out on lower trim piece and you should see it. This is what I was told.
