I got a bronco 2 year 1987. When I bought it it already had a 5.0 v8 302. Thats the way to go.

I bought a 1984 Bronco II with a 69 302 and 84 AOD. It has the Duraspark ignition, Edelbrock Performer carb and manifold, stock exhaust. It looks like the engine and tranny bolted right in. Cooling will be a problem, mine had a custom aluminum radiator and electric fan, not enough cooling down here near the equator. After much trial and error, it has a three core top tank radiator from a 1995 FSB, a seven blade flexlite fan on the engine, and a six blade electric fan in front of the radiator. After all that, rust got the driver seat frame, so she just sits in the yard now.
