Do you want a true dual (costs more and harder to install) or a Single in, dual out muffler (easy and cheap) ?
There is an endless discussion in the aftermarket forum about spray in bedliners. Everybody and their brother has an opinion on this and their all different.
Thanks for the welcome
I think I would like a true duel
I plan on keeping this truck for a long time
can you tell the difference with the sound and mileage
Probably not alot of difference in true duals ans one into two if it is a 4x4 because either way, the exhaust must run down tha passenger side to clear the transfer case and front driveshaft.
I am really happy with my 1 into 2.
I used a 3" inlet and dual 2 1/2" outlets with 2 1/2" tailpipes and Stainless long tips. It sounds and fits good.
If it is a 2WD, you will still have to go around the gas tank on the drivers side. I couldn't justify the extra expense of the added labor and buying 2 mufflers.
Jimmy
I have a setup similar to Jimmy. I really didn't see an increase in milage though, perhaps I should have used something bigger than 2 1/2. But I was most concerned about sound, I wanted deep and throaty, but not loud and obnoxious. The type of muffler you get makes a big difference.
A lot of people like the Flowmaster 40 series, but it's to loud for me. I went with a Magna-flow and am very happy with it.
I wouldn't think a true dual would be worth the effort unless you plan on adding headers anyway.
