Mel Gibson

Without going into details, I'd like to give my support to Mel Gibson. For all the insane characters he has played in his movies, he is one of the most sane and godfearing people in Hollywood. What he is going through just because he is a christian I fear is just a taste of things to come for Christians in the future.

Oh my gosh, am I preaching?

Good luck Mel.

I pity people that are afraid to say they are a Christian, they have already lost the battle. Thank (insert your golden cow here) that Mel isn't afraid to say it publicly.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 01-16-03 AT 07:54 AM (EST)] He has my support 110%

Once upon a time in America you had the right to express your beliefs, unfortunately, as far as religion is concerned, that has come to pass.
IMHO If the Muslims have the right to be zealots then so do Christians, Jewish, & Hindu. Whatever hapened to "live and let live". How I choose to worship effects no one else in any way.

Your right to express your religious belief has come to pass my Aunt Fanny. Don't let the PC weenies of the world convince you of that.

Like Archie Bunker said, if dem foriners don't like it they should be de-exported the heck* out of dis country.

Actually he didn't say 'heck', he used that word for the opposite of Heaven that is used in church and TV but not on the Internet

I understood he was American born, but raised in Austrailia by his father, to avoid the Draft during the Vietnam era. If this is not true, I can see why, in light of the article above.

As far as his current press, anyone that does good "christian" things, always is villified by the media. Christians are the only ones left that can be safely eviscerated by the left without the fear from the politically correct police force. Stand tall Mr Gibson.

I always thought he was a great actor I'm just jealous of him because he's got a six pack and is in way better shape than me, but he's almost 40 years older. Lol, 40 year old's shouldn't be getting more women than 18 year olds.......I guess if i was a millionaire.

Most reporters go whole-hog after stuff like this, in the hope that they can dig up something to find these people hipocritical. They (reporters) look for this, because that is what they are. Anyone who promises you the entire truth is a liar and a fake. Reporters cannot be trusted, especially when caught snooping in somebody's past. I know Gibson is a good guy. I don't care what he did when he wasn't in the public image, and I really admire him for making this film. I hope to see it when it is released.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 01-16-03 AT 10:59 PM (EST)]If anyone is REALLY out to get him, I'd bet on it being some other Christian faction attacking him, because they think his interpretation of the Bible is heretical. Pagans and the secular media wouldn't think it was worth the effort; they'd let the end result speak for itself.

Maybe this was just one (over)zealous reporter doing his job. And, if you don't look for dirt, how can you really be sure someone is clean?
