I am planning a t5 swap into my f100 this summer and starting to get my ducks in a row. One thing i do not understand is on the adapters from modern driveline they mention rotation and non rotation. What is this and how do i find out what i need or what i have. my truck is a 1959 f100 with 292 and original 4-speed ( granny gear ) trans. here is link to adapter:
I'm not sure about the rotation to clock it 5 degrees. But I'm pretty sure this adapter won't work with you 4 speed bell housing, you would need a 3 speed small bolt pattern bell housing.
I guess to be more specific... Was there a 3-speed trans offered in an f100 with 292 y-block? I thought they were all 4-speed with granny gears. I guess i need to get the number off my bell housing as they reference the bell #s in the web page: https://www.moderndriveline.com/shop...adapter-plate/

Yes, the 3 speed was the standard trans, 4 speed was optional.
Not easily, it would require a 3 speed bell housing also and the input shaft is too short for a truck bell housing which is deeper then a passenger car bell housing.
