57 f100

Hi everyone! I’m new to this forum. I am trying to do my first restoration on a 57 f100. My father in-law was trying to do some work on it while I was at work. He cut the cab brave support while the door was still on and didn’t brace the cab before cutting. Now the cab is out of wack and the door doesn’t close properly. I need help to figure out how to square it up again?

Welcome to FTE. We like a lot of pictures. Hard to tell with out seeing what was done. Hopefully you own a welder because you will have to put in braces in and get the cab back to normal shape before anything is welded back to together

How about the cab brace where he cut it. I can see the door gaps are uneven, I am trying to visualize where the cut was made

Don’t mind the welds and metal work. I’m going to redo it all.

Can't help with brace but can recommend buying a hydraulic lift table for working on doors. Harbor Freight.

Looks like you are going to have jack up on the cab and try to get the doors into alignment, get a new brace and wait for the welds to cool before you remove your jack. once you are comfortable with that, check your door hinges ect. I can see your avatar sideways, hard to see. how about some pics of the whole truck, we really like pics
