Good afternoon fridge lovers! I'm usually over in the 61-66 slick forum, but today I had a 1960 f100 CC come in on a hook. The brake line that drops down from the master to the tee failed. I can replace it with a hard line with a loop or two, but I would rather replace it with the original if I can find one. Does anyone, ND I'm looking at you, have a part number and availability? Pics to follow. The part in question Where it goes. Love the hydraulic clutch. The fridge. With my slick behind it.
Don't know but need one for my '59. Braided clutch line not original. Would that work for brake also? Post yesterday on making stock type clutch line. Think brake line very similar.

Ford did not supply steel lines for brake and fuel applications. They had to be made up from steel tubing, nuts and ferrules.
The line between the hydraulic clutch master and slave cylinder was available, but there are next to none available NOS
Great looking truck! Inline Tube does make a replacement, however, it does not have the flexible/rubber section and uses a loop (see below) to support the same flexing function. You can also send your originals to them and they will 3-D scan and replicate them exactly with the rubber section if you prefer to retain the OEM look. I sent them the original main fuel line for my 1960 F-100 292-2bbl to have this done (their in-stock pattern was incorrect) and the result was a perfectly replicated line...in fact, I'm about to send these very brake and clutch lines in for replication soon. Good luck!
Might look at "On Site Hose" they make hyd. lines on site for construction equipment and I am sure they could make up a line like used on the clutch.
But before getting into all that I would look into what it would take to replace that master with a duel master ASAP.
I bet that person found out real fast why they went to duel masters ..... he had no brakes at all!
How well did the Ebrake stop the truck that is if that even works?
Yes time to go duel master and be safer.
