When I open the driver's door the dome light does not go on but when I open the passenger door it does. I didn't see a button by the hinges which operates the dome light so how do I fix it? I checked YouTube and couldn't find a video for this problem. Thanks...
The switch is built into the door latch. If you remove the interior panel from the door you should be able to spot it. Often they just get stuck and blasting them with something like WD-40 and then opening and closing the door several times will free up the switch.
Thanks for the info. I forgot to mention that the speaker in the driver's door didn't work either so I took everything apart and found 3 wires that were cut all the way through. Two went to the speaker and the third one probably went to the dome light but I couldn't find the other end of it in the door so I reattached the speaker wires and called it a day. I have two other vehicles too and don't drive this one much at night anyway so it's no big deal. Thanks again....
