Question Tail light question

Does anyone make a taillight assembly with an integral back up light for a 66 Flairside? I like the look of the shield tail light, but need back up lights.

You won't find one for the 66. You'll have to find some after factory bolt on kit. And then you'll need to install a reverse switch. Is it the law to have backup lights in TX?

Backup lamps were not available for trucks, Bronco's and Econolines until 1967.

The 1967/79 Flareside tail lamp is the same as the 500 and larger series trucks Cab & Chassis, were sold by auto parts stores as well as Ford dealers.

This is a square lamp that incorporates the backup lamp lens. IMO: It's big and ugly with no redeeming features.

It's too bad that someone hasn't taken a 1955/66 Flareside shield tail lamp and incorporated a backup lamp lens within the red lens.

It was my hope that someone had done just that. Incorporated a back up light into the shield. Oh well, will have to figure out something.

When I was looking for tail and B/U tights for my 81 F100 flare side I was looking at the same tail lights, crest, as you and then adding 67 - 72 GM step side B/U tights.
From a Google search

I wound up going with stock factory style lights, big & ugly as Bill calls them.

I do a lot of my driving when dark and like the big ugly lights

and they are not even turned on.
