I have a 1992 F150 Custom it had delay wipers but has been intermittently working since i bought it about a month ago and completely died about a week ago. I could hear the relay clicking but the wipers would not move so i got a re manufactured wiper motor and installed it this morning. Before i put it all back together i put the wiper arms back on to make sure everything was wiping as should and found out the delay mode does not work at all and when i turn the wipers off they park whatever position they happen to be when i turn them off. I think this is a motor issue but wanted to ask since it worked before i had problems.
Thanks for your time.
If you are having the same symptoms with the new motor, it is probably the delay module, if it is the same as '91 and earlier. Located just above the parking brake pedal.
I had similar symptoms, finally opened up the module, cracked circuit trace/board, probably from the vibration of the brake pedal snapping back up when released. It's a common problem, and I don't know where you would find a new module. As mentioned, the park function is in the motor assembly itself, everything else is controlled by the module.
I wasn't having the same symptoms at all when the motor worked there was no issues with the delay part. When i bought the truck the wipers would sometimes move slow across the windshield and other times work properly but the delay always worked. I will take the motor off this morning and order a new one.
Thanks for your reply guys.

I had a similar issue with a reman replacement I got from Napa. From day one, the motor was noisy and ran slower than I thought it should. It eventually got to the point where it would stop working when in intermittent mode. Then it would stall out mid wipe when in low. Replacing the motor solved the problem.
