Hissing Noise ?
2000 F150 5.4L with 60K.
When pulling the boat a couple of months ago I noticed there was a hissing noise (went something like tsst tsst tsst in about 1 second) from the rear of the engine compartment. This was about 4000 rpm, climbing a hill. All the gauges checked out fine. It did this a couple of times, but you couldn't make it do it. There was no loss of power either.
So a couple of months go by and it happens to do it again, pulling a hill without the boat. It stopped after about 3-5 seconds. What could it be?
