Off brand CPS? Concerned?

Off brand CPS? Concerned?
I just replaced my CPS with a cheap one from Oreilly Auto. I have been reading threw some older threads and now I'm concerned this is going to leave me stranded using this cheap CPS. It's not the black one that people describe. Should I go and get the Motorcraft version and swap it out now? Just want to be safe.

It has been reported that aftermarket CPSs don't play nice with these trucks. If it was me, I'd get a Motorcraft one, or one from an Navistar (as this is what IH is called now) dealer just to have it if your truck starts acting funky. You should be able to pick one up for $30 or less. From what I've read on here, those aftermarket CPSs can do some strange things.

Riff Raff looks to be out at this time but I found the same ones with another site, official Ford version, Buying two.... one for the glove compartment. I have the cheap grey one and I'm going to yank it out this weekend. Thanks everyone for the feedback.

No problem at all. Others see these and think they might be out for a longer period of time, so we just like to update when possible.

I got my two CPS today. They are Motorcraft original but they look like a super dark blue color, not black. Should be good right? At least it's not the grey one I have in there now.
