Yes the rear f 2 f3 fenders have larger openings. Also they arent quite as deep as the f1 fenders since the f2 f3 boxes have the wheel well bump outs into the box.
ive collected "saved" 2 f2 boxes plus 2 additional f2 f3 trucks for my 51 f2 & F3 project, neither of them are great but with rusty stake pockets etc it may take 2 to make 1 and them some.
Just to expand a bit on what Josh said for clarity, the pickup boxes on the F2/3 "Express" are wider than the F1 box, so their fenders are narrower, in addition to having larger wheel openings. The differences allow the F1-3 trucks to have the same overall width.

Hmm, so are the F-2/3 tailgates wider than an F-1 also?

I thought having the fatter fenders on the F3 bed would be an amusing way of putting big drag tires on my truck, and have a quasi widebody thing going on
There is another on Flea-Bay in Utah with wheels. Might not be practical to haul it to Penn. Nobody has bid yet. JMadsen, it might be worth keeping an eye on that if it is nearby.

Thanks for the heads up, thats about 4 hours from me, and in no better shape than the 2 ive got already (well maybe) its hard to see detail in those pictures, the tailgate is rough, otherwise that could be an item.?
so i wont be bidding on it.

thanks for heads up... if alittle closer I would be driving to look at...
I have 4 rear fenders for a 51M3,none are for sale right now, none are perfect, but all are saveable , I have 4 front fenders as well.
I have the bed on a ro tis a ree, the lower 6 to 10" is mostly rotted. I did get some 1/16 (.0625)thick panels bent up for replacements of bed lower area.
The long beds are rare things to mess with I have found out....
The best part on this truck is the tail gate, almost perfect. It got put in barn when new plus it says Mercury on it, twas a grain truck ,so a home made chuted tailgate was used. I know none of this helps the OP right now, just talkin trucks.
Good Luck
Greg
