Thanks for the response. I have today only. Tomorrow I start another 11 days working. 10 -12 hours. I finally got it loose but it drove down into the block. So now I have. 1/4-3/8" sticking out of the block. One problem turns into a worse problem.
piece by tiny piece.
try chipping away at it with a small chisel, attempt to collapse it inward.
small grinder like a Dremel, be careful not to cut into the block. that weakens it before chiseling.
have a set of thread taps? measure the inner & outer diameter and run a fine tap down it.
then you can try putting a bolt in and slide hammer it out. thread grooves also weaken it for easier chiseling.
edit: now that you've knocked it loose, try the tap 'n thread method.
you can insert a bolt into it so the vice grips don't crush it.

Reason: more B. S.
How about a hack saw blade and try cutting it from the inside out, again being careful not to cut into the block.
Once cut some you could also fold it in and peal it out.

The heater hose nipple is steel. You are also going about it the wrong way. The proper and easy way is to take a chisel and indent the old piece vertical. It will collapse the tube and will pull right out. The new one is installed with gasket tack or aviation sealer.
Thanks to all that responded. I got it out. Finally.
Ford360gashog... I did usr a chisel to dent it but I went horizontal (ooooops. I didn't know) Anyway, now that I have it out, now I have a new problem. In a previous thread titled "What size" I was given the ford number for this nipple. It should have been 5/8". It is actually a 3/4" bore and nipple.
Does anyone know the ford number for the 3/4" nipple.
Vehicle... 79 bronco 351m and 79 f150 scab 400 (6.6))L)
Before you install the new one, attach some rubber vinyl hose to a shop vac and get any pieces out that may have fallen in. Maybe a telescoping magnet too.
Glad you got it out....any good hardware should have that barb. Ask for 3/4 pipe with 5/8 barb if that's how yours is set up. Make sure it doesn't have a hex on the nipple. Looks like it would interfere as the threads look a little deep from Rich's pic in the other thread.
Someone suggested to tap the hole as a 3/8 NPT. I would like to do that but the way my BAD luck is going, the tap would break in the hole. I have a HF tap/die set but the taps are more for thread clean up than cutting.
Is the 3/4" bore hole the correct size to properly tap a 3/8NPT ? Would I have to drill it slightly bigger? Either way, I have to wait for another day off and decent weather.
Pretty sure when I did my 400 all I did was drill it out to 23/32 or whatever size your supposed to for a 1/2” npt tap. Tapped some threads in it and installed a 1/2” npt x 5/8” hose barb fitting. Worked great.
