chrome on a budget
I am looking to replace the grey/black front-end parts (grille, bumper and headlight trim) on my '95 F-150 with chrome parts. Is anybody interested in swapping or making a deal? Or can anybody give me an idea as to where to get these parts? Seems everytime I go to the salvage yard they have nothing to offer.

well, even though you probably already know this, i have to put my vote in for the scrapyard. i put a chrome bumper on mine after some ******** backed into my grey one for all of $100 bucks. looked new after some polish. with a little patience, you can get a good deal for your money

my bil used bright silver testor's spray paint on his old pontiac bumpers, and a clear coat..not bad looking after a year..and cheap too!
btw, my 96 bronco chrome bumper and door handles are pitting..and yes, i have cleaned and waxed them since new.

They have fairly reasonable prices and most parts are in-stock.

I'm not sure what their shipping charges run because I live here and just pick up whatever parts I need, but they've treated me pretty well so far. Although I've never used their rust repair parts, they claim they have a satisfaction gaurantee... if the part doesn't fit like you hoped, they'll refund your money and pay the return shipping charges.
