Had a bit of spare time yesterday and mounted doorpulls (wife wanted them to climb in and out) and thought while I was at it covering the cracked headliner would be a plus.
Used denim from WalMart and spray-on adhesive for the headliner. The original trim was white to match the visors, decided a gloss silver to match the highlighting on the dash would look better. Used 1/4" flat-head screws backed with fender washers to mount the pulls - surprisingly there was a fair amount of room between the inner wall and the outer of the cap there so getting the fender washers, lock washers, and nuts on was really easy. I had originally thought the mounting would be a bit further back, but there is an internal flange of some sort that precludes that. If I get really ambitious, guess I can use the leftover denim to cover the visors. Also installed shiny chrome/aluminum trim on the side rain gutters. Next up on cosmetics: carpet (the shade selected is a bit darker than the headliner, also in blue. Slowly but surely...
