Head lights work, emergency flashers work for the rear lights, changed the switch for the lights control, when I use emergency or turn signals the rear lights work, what could it be
Yep, people still do that apparently. We're just lucky they changed to blade fuses long ago instead of keeping the glass fuses. Or we'd still be seeing .22 cartridges bridging the gaps!!!!
Gives new meaning to the word "blowing" a fuse!
Just make sure to wear armored underwear when you drive that truck.
So now all the lights work, but the brake lights still out, I turn on the lights and they work but they don't light up when depressing the pedal, I'm changing out the switch but is there anything else that can cause that aswell
Since brake lamp switches are usually just simple in/out (or open/close) switches, you can test yours with an ohm or volt meter and see if it is working. Without changing it first. Remember the "new does not mean good" mantra and your money is safer.
I remember the 22 cartridge, and the wrap in aluminum foil, usually you was 25 miles from town, and truck in the woods loaded with firewood, or the hay field
