I can tell you for absolutely sure...it will! I took a wrecked and twisted up 84 stepside frame and made a utility trailer out of it. Took off the good stepside bed and bolted on an old standard shortbed bed in it's place. No drilling, went right in the same holes as the stepside. Try and get the wiring harness with the bed because it will just plug right in too. The only thing I'm not sure about is whether or not you'll be able to use the stepside bumper...I didn't put a bumper on my trailer and I think it might hit the bottom edges of the bed.

Stepside bumper wouldn't give you much protection on the styleside bed. I would suggest getting a step bumper for the new bed.
Just my opinion.
Have a good one!

If you want to keep the Flareside look of your truck, Do like some do and Replace the wood with a steel sheet or Diamond Plated sheet. Then just weld or Tack weld it into place. You could also find a Flareside bed from 87 to 95 to replace it with they have a soild metal floor and styleside type locking tailgate instead of the chains. Just and Idea for ya.
