Engine swap

Hi I've bought a 1992 Ford F-350 with the 7.3 IDI for $450 she has 350,000 miles and threw a rod. I've also got a 1996 Ford F-350 with a healthy 7.3 powerstroke turbo diesel. I was wondering what I would need to do to swap the motors. I've got a fairly good idea on how it's done but I don't know what electronics need to be put over into the 92 f350. Can anyone help me please?

Why not run the '96?

Do the other major 1992 parts (tranny, diffs) also have 350k on them? How many miles on the '96?

The the 96 has 195000 miles on her, I do not know the known mileage on the tranny and diff. I suppose let's assume it does have 350,000 on them.

The reason why I want to run the 92 is because it's a 4-door long bed and the 96 is a two-door single cab.

you would do better to post this in the Powerstroke forums.. as these forums are for IDI and you are wanting to Replace IDI with PSD
