engine swap
Hi
I have a 1995 f350 dually auto 7.3 engine.
I want to install a 1997 7.3 f350 engine.
does any one know if there are any problems?
I see there is a early engine.wich i am told you can see the glow plugs.
any info will be greatly appreciated.

As long as the two trucks are the same (ie, cali trucks or non cali-trucks) it should be a direct swap. Even if one is a cali truck, the engine would still work but might need minor mods(different ecu, etc.). The earlier engine you speak of is the IDI motor. It was last used in 1994 for the auto trucks. Adam

Thanks for the reply.you are right about the idi engine.but in 1995
they used 2 different injecter pumps and injecters.
I am trying to find out if they will work, without swapping all that.
