2020 Sync Issues

2020 F250 been having some seriously crappy connectivity issues with the sync system.

apple car play still and issue, now the system locks up says phone volume even with Bluetooth disconnected and usb disconnected.

thoughts?

it’s been to the dealer they can find any issues, aside form my Bluetooth/CarPlay issues (another thread on this)

Have you tried a Master Reset of the SYNC 3 system?

there is clearly a bug in the Sync 3 found in 2020s, I have the same problem and its showing up here in a bunch of threads. It won't be resolved until they update. The only thing I have discovered that seems to work most of the time is waiting a few minutes before plugging the iPhone in. It's as though it won't initiate CarPlay if sync 3 is still launching. Only an observation.

I had a glitch too, but by either plugging the phone in before hitting the starter button, or waiting until after the truck is running, then plugging the phone in, then no problems for me. Operates fine after that.

Yup been trying to get it resolved also have my thread here on the plagued issues. Really frustrating since this is a work truck and I am on my phone practically all day. Now I have to use my headset instead of the truck....a real PROBLEM FORD.

I've had it to 2 dealers, master resets, reboots defaults, nothing changes.

Not sync issues it is Android Auto bugs causing the issues. Have the same problems with FCA, Hyundai, ect.

For those using Samsung phones the latest update has made it so you have to plug, unplug, and plug back.in to use Android.Auto.

Hopefully the next SYNC 3 update will fix the problem but who knows when that’ll be out.

Also, next Tuesday, the latest iOS update will be released so maybe that’ll solve your problems.

With that being said, and I hope I’m wrong but, you might just need a new APIM.

My understanding the AA issues started with Android 10 on Samsung phones. It did on my phone. A patch was released that fixed mine.
