It’s the right thing to do. Everyone with a vehicle on order will just have to understand and remain patient.

Saw the news today. Mine says: Status: In Order Processing - Scheduled to Day. Whatever that means. Hope it arrives by late May. Now I can hope Ford offers more incentives and 0% financing by the time it comes in. That would be a plus for the delay.

Mine was built and getting to dealership this week, although now I'm worried I'm buying high and given another few weeks, incentives will be huge. Of course, unlike 2008, with factories shut down now, supply will also be limited so they may keep prices near where they are.

I was going to order this week. Dealer told me to wait for new incentives April 1. Now a plant shut down. In any case, this may delay our camping season...not happy.

My truck is sitting at a rail yard 1 hour away waiting for transport to the dealership. I ordered January 16th, Produced March 7th and shipped March 12th. I’m glad it’s here and just made it over the border before all this happened, but I will not be picking up before the April 1st incentives. My friends F 150 was scheduled to be built next week, so I feel bad for him and everyone else who just got put on hold. It’s for the best the incentives will be better April 1st!

You need a new dealer. Incentive protection plan allows dealers to lock in incentives at time of order, but you can get current incentives at the time of delivery. It’s up to you.

If the incentives were better on 4/1, you just grab those when you pick up your truck. If the new 4/1 incentives are worse, then just hold onto the ones locked in when you ordered. Either way, the idea is to encourage the customer to order today ... there’s no reason to wait.

Yours is a very unaware dealer ... at least with respect to incentives and orders.

You are only eligible for incentives the month your order is placed, and the month you actually pick up your truck. If the plants are shut down there’s no point in locking in an incentive right now. Better off waiting the 2 weeks, hope the plant reopens and place your order start of month and get incentives for April and then most likely June.
