TBI conversion

TBI conversion
Would it be practical to convert a 300 on a stock manifold to TBI if i could get the whole 2 injector setup off of a 305 or a 350? I'm not looking for more power or better mileage, i'm looking to be able to run better in off-camber situations and TBI seems the most straight forward (not to mention cheap). Will the TBI run as a stand alone so I could use a DSII ignition? Are there any weird sensors for the TBI that i might not think of?

I've heard of GM TBI systems being hell. i own one unfortunately and deal with its pain. it can be done, but i believe TBI systems work in coordination with the distributor as well. if this is true, then you may be out of luck unless you can rig up a chevy dist to work with a Ford.
save yourself a major headache and go for something that works like a Mulit-port EFI conversion like the one i recently finished:

after:
took me 3 weeks and less than $200. lots of rigging, thought and sweat was involved, but lemme tell you it was definetley worth it. she runs smoother, quciker, and wastes less gas.
