Headlights are not fused...there is a circuit breaker built into the headlight switch.
Sounds a lot like the dimmer switch is dead....that will cause no headlights....and intermittent high beams....it is just a rotary switch that connects the headlight output power to either a wire to the low beams or a wire to the high beams.
I have seen them fail and go between the low and high contacts giving no lights.....be surprised how fast you can click that switch hoping to get some kind of light when it fails
i have replaced the headlight switch and the dimmer was working but will recheck it but first i have to finish my wifes bronco 2 then i can get busy on my truck i have found a way to make the lights work in the mean time thank you all for the advice
