Hey, just outta curiosity, what is the "proper" white finish for the '57 - '60 white painted wheels? Is it just WHITE, or is there some fancy shade, or what?
I'm not too stuck on it, because I will powder coat my wheels yellow after a little bit. I noticed on 4speed's pics, his wheels look a little off-white...."Ecru", even!
Found a whole parts truck to work off of out here in the prairie, but my new prob is - out here, in farm country, where there are alot of old cars/trucks, for some reason, NO one has a trailer I can use! *@#$&

Corithan white is the correct color for a 1960 F100, black was used on the heavier truck. Mine are slightly more cream than corithan white, but is so close I don't really care because it wouldn't look as good with the white walls. -4speed
Heye did you hear I found a parts truck? It's a '58 F250 and still has its stick tranny and clutch assy. Hmmm.... C6 or stick? :-) Sorry John, the fenders are hosed, I already made it a point to check for you. But it does have the spare tire holder in the bed! And a few other goodies I need for Daisy.
Ooooohh a parts truck, Thanks for checking the fenders, but a 58's fenders wouldn't work anyway. Get a few pics of the tire holder in the bed, I have yet to see one in person. -4speed
You sure the '58s won't fit? This truck has a chrome '60 grill and it fits fine. I guess someone could changed the fenders. I've already got the pics, but don't have the disc w/me. I'll be back at the comp tonight and I'll email them to ya -
