Question Factory Antitheft System

Could anyone tell me how to tell if my 2003 F250 Superduty has a factory antitheft system installed. I am going to install a remote starter and I will need extra parts if my truck has one. My ignition key is rather thin compared to my wifes Honda which has antitheft on it. How else can I tell. Thanks

Does it have a remote? Can you start the truck without disarming first? If not you may not have it ... When I bought my truck I expected a large key ... but the remote they gave my disarms a kill switch and alarm ... which I believe is the anti-theft system. If I'm wrong someone will correct me.

Get in the truck, lock it using the remote and then pull the handle and open the door - if you got a security system, it should go off.

Go to Walmart, spend a buck and get a cheap copy made of your key. If it starts your truck, you don't have one of the fancy (read high $$$) key systems (my '02 doesn't).
