Although my personal desire is to keep electronics as far away from my '66 as possible when it comes to the engine, suspension and drive train, I am totally open to adding them to my interior.
So I'd like a little input on state of the art convenience. My first thought was Mirrors. I really like the look of the stock round mirror on these trucks, I drove my '65 for 10 years with them and they sucked as mirrors. So I was thinking I would look into a left, a right and a rear-view camera. The rear-view should be easy as there are a bunch of choices, but I've never seen anyone try to do side-view mirrors. The side-view would have to have a more direct angle of view, and I would have to hide it so it wouldn't look ugly.
I'm already planning an overhead console, so drop down monitors would be easy to hide.
Any thoughts on Either the side-view or rear-view, and the interior monitor?
You could go with late 70's early 80's Lincoln Town Car mirrors. They are square unfortunately however, they have a thermometer attached to the bottom on the drivers side. You could remove that and mount the camera instead. Plus they would be power too.

that would kinda defeat the purpose of keeping the round ones.
