STRANGE GRUMBLINGS
I have an 87 F-250 4x4 with a 5.0/Auto. Every now and again, in teh morning(cold), I get a real loud vibration that doesn't seem to get higher pitched with speed, and usually doesn't start unitl about 25 mph. It feels like it it right under the drivers side floorpan, and vibrates and makes a deep growl. Only happens for about 10 seconds, then goes away. When it starts at 25, when I slow down, it doesn't stop making the noise until about 5-10 mph. Today though, it did it almost all the way to work, then again after work. Is this a common noise that is associated with the transfer case or hubs or something else? I do not have the 4WD engaged, if that helps. ANy help would be appreciated.
