2- always do your best
3- be impeccable with your word
4- never make assumptions!!!
BEAST has 3.73's with 275/70/18's so an effective ratio of 3.56. And he yanks this....
Anywhere and everywhere! With mucho power to spare.✌

I started the thread because I love this truck! Its been 24 years since I've owned a gas v8. I love this little 6.2. Smooth as silk, tons of power above 4k rpms. I admit, the first tow, I sucked! Drove it like a diesel (I've owned cummins diesels all this time). But, using manual mode, and understanding where the power curve of this engine is, I quickly adapted.(6.5 mpg going there, 8.9 mpg coming home) did i mention, I Love this truck!!!!!
It will shock you how fast those 6.2's are. The factory exhaust has a killer sound when hot on the gas. Least mine does nice rumble to it. Upper rpm's it's on. 7000lb brick coming in hot lol
I feel you man! In Colorado, you are going up, or going down!! In the pacific northwest, its the same, only smaller hills! As an example, I live at 586ft above sea level.. My work is at 56ft. Its only 8 miles away!!!! 😃 so when I reset the trip meter, I get 19mpgs, coming down to work , and 11.5mpgs going back up!!!!!
Everybody thinks the 3.73 dont get it done but I have no complaints with my F350 DRW single cab 6.2 pulls everything just fine.
couldnt agree more. I did the crazy search thing for 4.30s and just gave up. Once I towed with beast for the first time, with an effective ratio of 3.56, I realized that 4.30 gearing is very important, if you hook up to your trailer, hit tow/haul, put it in drive and go. However, if you use manual mode, gearing is FAR less important. Jmo✌

I use manual mode myself when I pull heavier loads.
