spare tire mount
Does anybody have a source to find a spare tire mounting kit for a 53 f100?

I agree, the under bed assembly is what I was thinking he needed.

I was never able to find anyone that had them for sale..unless you spent big bucks buying them on ebay. I used pics of the under bed mount and made my own.

I think, remember I said think, they are repopping the J bolt and the double headed hanger bolt.

yea you can get the J bolt for $16 and the original style cast wing nut for $109 or cheaper replacement style for $8




I made my own. Wasn't hard.

My wing nut is original, and has patina. (rust) I'd be willing to let it go for $500.00 + shipping and handling.

Just the wing nut. I need the rest of it.

It's still a lot cheaper than a set of eBay mirrors for a Chevy:

I bought my spare tire hanger with the j-hook, double headed bolt, and wing nut from my friend Morry in 1999, whom the guys at the Central PA Mountain Truckstock met. It was on an old frame he had rusting away in his "junkyard."
